Achieve Scriptless Automation with Creator
Low-Code/No-Code/Scriptless Automation is an endeavour all Test Teams want to achieve. And, Creator 4.6.0 helps teams achieve it.
We have taken a very simplistic definition of “Scriptless Automation” - generate scripts with a mouse click, execute scripts with a mouse click. No coding required on per test case basis for day-to-day test execution with existing automation framework.
Different components required for “Automated Test Execution”:
Scripts and other framework related files: Creator generates/exports all test-script related information as required by the test execution framework.
Test Data - All the data entered into the model is exported as “test data” as per your framework datasheet.
Object Locators: With Creator 4.6.0, the Web Page Scan utility scans target web page(s), identifies and saves the Object Locators' information. This information can also be exported into Object Repository file of your framework or even into the scripts.
With all the relevant information available within Creator’s output, the scripts are ready to be executed.
During the course of SDLC, the scripts may start failing because of Object Locator changes. Creator displays all objects in an organized and easily navigable UI. So, the modeller can identify the updated Object Locator information, look up the corresponding widget properties in Creator and update the same in “Annotations” property. And, then few mouse-clicks to re-run the script.
Recommendation: With Creator holding/generating all required information, modeller can start executing test scripts. Automation COE can be approached after first level of analysis by modeller, and only if issue is not related to Object Locators. |
To standardize the process for new models and existing models, we have migration utilities ready to read existing Object Repository and import them to Creator.

The Web Page Scan utility also helps in creating the Structure Diagrams of an SUT (where models do not already exist)) very fast. Please see “Baseline models for existing SUT quickly ” for more information on the new utility.
